[Rewind. He was never capable of letting go of those he loved most. Minimus isn't worried about that. Really, it's just a difficult balance for Rewind, isn't it. Wanting to love and be patient, but angry and rightfully so.

He's startled when Rewind leans against him and begins to weep. Slowly, Minimus reaches up and embraces him, holding Rewind protectively.]

I wish I had an answer for you, Rewind. I know about intergalactic law, proper procedure, and I have the Autobot Code memorized, but this... this, I'm afraid I've never had any skill in.

For right now, I think this is what you need before we make another choice.

[Rewind knows that Ultra Magnus- Minimus Ambus- wouldn't be able to help with this kind of thing. And yet he's family, he's the only person in this place who even knows him anymore. Rewind wraps his other arm around him, pressing his faceplate into his shoulder.]

[Quietly, he does his best to comfort. He isn't very good at this, but he wants to try his best. Especially for Rewind. He places his hand lightly against the back of Rewind's head.]

I think that when he wiped his memories of you, he wiped away the best of his days. Do you remember that documentary Rodimus had you make? When you asked ... all of us if we were happy.

Chromedome said that he was happy with you. Without you, that doesn't leave much, does it.

I'm not making any excuses for him. I'm not. What he's done to you and Prowl was selfish and stupid and unbelievable. [Honestly, he'd like nothing more than to punch Chromedome in the face a few times, but he won't mention that.] I'm just saying that his best traits were with you, and that's been sealed away.

[Rewind had actually completely forgotten that he'd left that bit in the documentary... He can hardly bear to even think about that clip right now, this hurts so bad. Still, he understands what Minimus is saying. That catch, that stupid little condition that he should've caught when he first said it:

"With you, I'm happy."

Rewind squeezes tighter onto Minimus.]

I know... I know you're right... When we first met, Chromedome was a mess. The more time we spent together, the better he tried to be... I just, I want to believe that I'm not the only reason he's a good person, I want to believe that it's just a part of him that I helped him see...

God, so many people here think I'm a horrible person because of that- because, even now, I can't see him as a monster.
